South Wessex Community Rail Partnership CIC (South Wessex) is a Community Interest Company registered at Companies House as Company No.13624477. South Wessex seeks to promote the importance of the railway to our local communities along the Southern portion of the Heart of Wessex Line in Somerset and Dorset and to aid their economies through involvement with all aspects of community interface with railway activity and encouragement and promotion of increasing usage of public and sustainable transport for the benefit of people living in, working in or visiting the area.

What information do we collect about you?
We may collect information about you when you approach us regarding aspects of our activity, or if you apply to become a Volunteer or Member of an affiliated User Group or Friend of a Station group. We may also collect information if you voluntarily complete surveys or give feedback. We will only ask for such information as is necessary for the efficient administration of South Wessex. We do not collect ‘sensitive personal data’ unless there is a legitimate reason for this – for example, where a volunteer may need particular support to be able to participate in an activity.
How will we use the information about you?
We collect information about you in order to process contacts, manage volunteers at stations and for any other administrative functions of South Wessex.
Access to this data will be restricted to our Board of Directors and those personnel who administer the activities of South Wessex.

Personal data will not be collected and processed without your unconditional consent or where there is a legitimate interest.
Access to your data and correction
You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. This can be obtained, without charge, by application to the Community Rail Officer (email: info@southwessexcrp.org.uk).
We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date and all reasonable efforts will be made to ensure this is the case. You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate.

Data may be retained according to South Wessex Data Protection Policy by application to the Community Rail Officer (as above)
